Building Program

Prayer to Our Lady Star of the Sea

Oh, Holy mother of God, look graciously upon our prayers and devotion to your Beloved Son Jesus.

It is your will that we live as brothers and sisters, building up the world by the marvelous powers that you have graciously given us.

We entrust the building of our new

church to your intercession so that it may contribute to the love of this world and the spread of the Kingdom of Christ.

Son of Mary, and Jesus our Christ,

with you as our example and guide

help us to faithfully carry out our commitment and do the work God has asked. Give us the courage, the strength, and the desire, to go above and beyond in all of our efforts: physically, spiritually and financially.

May your church be a place of refuge, a source of love and mercy, and a visible sign of your presence.

AMEN

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING

There will be a training on February 11th @ 2:00 pm in the new church.  For information, contact Norberto Caez 673-6085.

TACKLE HUNGER WITH THE SOUPER BOWL

Our youth will hold soup pots at church doors on Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday, February 5, 2012.  The Souper Bowl of Caring began in 1990 with a simple prayer, “Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those who are without a bowl of soup to eat.”  OLSS has been participating in Souper Bowl for the past 4 years as part of our corporeal works of mercy.  In 2011 almost $1200 was raised for the church’s benevolence fund.  Please support the youth of our church in this effort to “love our neighbors” by dropping your donation in the soup pot on February 5th.
